Details

ZMAZZ will introduce a new mobile payment platform in the Netherlands May 1st. Before revealing this new technology to the world, they shared their vision in a five minute pitch at The Next Web Startup Rally in Amsterdam. With ZMAZZ users can pay from any mobile phone at the register, pay each other, purchase anonomysly online and pay for parking.

Steven Zwerink (CMO at ZMAZZ) stated that everybody is talking about mobile payments but nobody is doing anything. 'It looks like current organizations are stuck in old business model thinking and frozen systems. ZMAZZ breaks open this system like an ice breaker and guides the consumer safely through all these changes. ZMAZZ puts the consumer back in the drivers' seat and enables him to take control of his money and rewards him for this loyalty. No more spam, no more points to collect. Only hard cash rewards for loyalty and the level of transparency that you choose'.

ZMAZZ Parking
The first ZMAZZ mobile payment service is targeted at the market of Mobile Payments for Parking. The current providers are charging substantial amounts to users for using their services. ZMAZZ believes that 'paying for payments' is absurd. ZMAZZ Parking allows users to park their car and pay for it from any mobile phone and is free of charge. With ZMAZZ, users can start and stop their parking action from any mobile phone (using our app or a simple text message). This means a user never has to pay more than minutes actually parked. And without registration, subscription or addtional texting costs. ZMAZZ Parking will be launched in two big cities in the Netherlands (Enschede and Amersfoort) on May 1st. Every month thereafter ZMAZZ will connect one or more cities, starting with the biggest ones (Amsterdam and Utrecht).

There is more ZMAZZ to come
Parking is just the start of a complete roll-out of the ZMAZZ Mobile Banking & Payment Platform this summer. By the end of 2012, everybody in the Netherlands will be able to pay for parking, pay at the cash register, purchase (anonymously) online and pay / send money to each other, from every mobile phone. On top of that, ZMAZZ is able to digitize consumers' receipts and store them safe and protected in a private customiuzed portal. ZMAZZ users will get a personal online household overview in which they can browse in depth through their purchases. If a ZMAZZ user decides to share his data anonomysly, he or she will earn money with this data, without privacy being touched.

ZMAZZ believes it is time to give control to the consumer. ZMAZZ will guide the consumer safely through all these changes.
